Rouenneries by French General

I am looking for jelly rolls of Rouenneries. Does anyone have any they would like to sell or trade? I've looked on etsy & ebay...with no luck there

I enjoyed taking care of my granddaughter over the last 5 days even tho she still has an ear infection and wasn't her normal active self. Do you know how hard it is to convince a 2 1/2 year old to let you put drops in her ear? Her folks will be home tomorrow and will be taking her back to the doctor to see how it looks. At least she isn't running a temp any longer. We watched some cartoon movies that she has seen many, many times before. It was so cute, once in awhile she would start singing with the movie. Grandchildren are so much fun! But I am upset with myself because I forgot to take any pictures of her.

no sewing this week

Probably won't be blogging or sewing this week. I'm babysitting a sick granddaughter. So we are spending a lot of time cuddling.

???? Can anyone tell me why sometimes I have my signature at the bottom of my posts and sometimes it is gone????

This seemed to be a wild weekend and I didn't get anything accomplished that I wanted to do and thought I'd still write a post, so I though I'd write about a giveaway I saw at Sew Happy-Me . They are having a giveaway for Doll Babies fabric by Henry Glass. Stop by her blog and look around, there are lots of cute things to see. She has some cute teddy bears also, not just quilting things.

Mug Rugs

I made 2 mug rugs and matching towels for the mug rug exchange. I love the aqua & brown colored fabric, it reminds me of steam rising from a cup of coffee. This was a fun project. I didn't know what to expect when I started it but I had fun. Now maybe I'll have the courage to participate in something larger next time. Happy Sunday to all!

Snow or no snow?

This is what it looked like out my back door a couple weeks ago. Snow, snow and more snow.

Now I really don't like snow so today I looked out my back door and this is what I saw.

Now I like this much better. But I have been hearing some bad things on the TV about the upcoming week and some more snow in the forecast. Oh No! How can mother nature do that to us? Doesn't the sun shine look so nice in the last pictures? Guess I will have to wait and see what happens. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday

My oldest 2 granddaughters celebrated their birthdays on Sunday. Both were born in February.(Grandma forgot her camera so this is an older picture) The girls are now 7 & 9. We had so much fun playing with the grandkids. The girls decorated their cake as a yard full of snow using white frosting, coconut, sugar cubes and Lego people. Really cute! One guy fell head first into a pile of (frosting) snow. Some of the Lego guys were having snow ball fights with "square" snow balls and even had a snow fort.

a long lost quilt

I made a baby quilt for the Quilts For Kids from a top I found in my stash. I had made the top years ago, actually forgotten about it. I was looking for some fabric I knew I had and at the same time I found this. I quilted it yesterday with a neutral backing that has little red hearts and tiny blue flowers in it, which worked out perfectly. I quilted it with wavy lines so it went fairly fast. I still need to wash it before I mail it. I love the old crinkly look you get from cotton batting after it's washed. Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are finally going to have nice weather (above freezing)! Plus we are going to our granddaughter's birthday party, so it should be a fun weekend for us!

This is a BOOK ROUND ROBIN GIVEAWAY. Barb from Bejeweled Quilts by Barb sent me this book that she had gotten from SewCalGal and now someone else can have the book to read and then must send it off to another person. Let's see how many people we can get to read this and sign your name on the inside. Barb sent me a cute pineapple pattern and I'll have something extra in the package when I send the book.

Leave me a comment if you'd like to get this book next. I'll do the random number thing on Monday. Remember when you are finished reading the book, pass it on!!

Edited to add...the winner is Stitched With Prayer...........I did the random number thing, but can't ever seem to get it to post.
