Women

I saw this on another blog and asked if she cared if I post it. I think it's so cute!

Women are Angels and when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly on a broomsitck, because Women are flexible!

Guess What

I am getting another one of these:

In July I am going to be grandma again. And we found out that it's a boy! Now they have to decide on his name. And I think that's going to be hard for them to limit it to only one name!

something to check out

If you like to enter giveaways go to http://www.jaybirdquilts.com/ Julie has a list of them posted today.

Saturday

I am not being too productive today and it's Saturday! That means I don't have to go to work and should be sewing, but I have been reading blogs and looking at lots of pretty quilt pictures and trying to get some inspiration instead. I've also been on Facebook with my son and looking at pics of my granddaughter. And it's getting about time to start supper, so after an easy supper I will be at my sewing machine. And Jean, if you are reading this, I am going to do some of my circle & spin blocks!!

I've been playing around thanks to Linda & Jean trying to post pictures. And this is what I did today. My grandson BEING the basketball. He had so much fun showing me what he could do.

Guess what we got today

Wish I could have

found that groundhog before he had a chance to poke his head out. I'd have stepped on the hole and we'd never see him again. I cannot believe it just keeps snowing!

Fun New Labels

I wanted to tell you about something I found and really love. At Lillalotta's Shop at Etsy, are the cutest labels on cotton tape that is 1.5 cm or 2 cm in width. You can order custom made ones with your name or any words you like, or order from her selection of ready printed ones. They are so cute! I had her do a special order for me and am so happy with them. I'm using them in quilts as my label. She is very accomadating and the service was very quick. Now I'm no good at setting up links to sites so if you cannot find her etsy shop go to red pepper quilts blog, and she has a button for Lillalotta's shop (scroll down..it's towards the bottom). That's how I heard of her.

Not more snow

I can't believe that we are only 1/2 way thru winter (according to the calendar). But it will give me a good reason to stay home tomorrow and sew, since I do not like to be out in the snow!! Oh, and I had to go to a meeting out of town for my work and that meant going thru a town with one of my favorite quilt shops in it.
And, yes, I got fabric. I didn't just fall off the wagon, I jumped off with both feet and loved every minute of it! I better stay home now and use some of the fabric. I just love to put projects together...fabric with pattern....and then have little kits made for myself. Sew Patty Sew.

Woo Hoo

My daughter helped me ( or I should say she did it for me) get my self portrait on my blog. Now if I can play around awhile longer I might finally learn how to post some photos. The self portrait was a guild challenge from about 5 years ago. But I still have blue, green, yellow, orange and red striped hair, only it's a little longer now!!

Oh No!!

I fell off the wagon......the one where I wasn't going to buy any more fabric until I had used a sizeable amount of what I already have. Guess I'll just have to restart as of Feb. 1, 2010!! I think I need help, I have SABLE (stash accumulated beyond life expectancy) disease. Yikes...the only cure is to get busy and stay out of quilt stores. I'll be experiencing withdrawl pretty soon, so watch out, I might start getting crabby ;-)
