I have been in my sewing room for 2 nights now trying to figure out what to do with all the FABRIC and assorted things. I've been reading blogs about purging and decided that is what I am going to do too. But before I get to some of the scrappier things I have a few charm packs that I am going to giveaway. Today is Makin' Friends by Deb Strain. I have 2 more Christmas charm packs to give away also, so keep checking back. Maybe you'll still have time to make something for Christmas.
All I want you to do is to tell me what some of your favorite patterns are. I have been collecting aqua & red fabrics to make a quilt and need some ideas for a pattern. So leave me a comment suggesting a pattern for my scraps and you'll be entered. I'll draw the 24th of Sept. Leave me an email address or a way to contact you. Pass it on!

I think the Bento Box pattern would look great in red and aqua fabrics!

Ohhh forgot the question...look at Sunday's best Schnibbles..this collection would look great with that...or about XO's....
I have a great pattern for that ...not me personally, but one I can share how to.
me x
Oh my gosh....I have been collecting aqua and red. Jane Fabrics has or had a wonderful collection of them. Infact, I have a piece coming right now..... so if you find a good pattern or patterns....I am interested. You have me all up in arms right now...jumping up and down....just love aqua and red.
Oh...the giveaway...got caught up with myself...sorry....wonderful giveaway....and thanks!!
Oh I've been wanting some winter fabrics to make one of those village quilts/wallhangings so I must enter.
Ok, quilt patterns....I think I have a zillion....but lately the one that really catches my eye everytime I see it is the Jacobs Ladder one. Ok, then after that one....I like dresden plates quite a bit too. Of course the ones with the circles in a variety of sizes appliqued on squares is cute and cheerful.
Smiles,
Kelly
I like the "split 9 patch" blocks. It's fun to see what you end up with after you cut and rearrange them. I collect snowmen--I'd love to use these charms for a winter project. :)
I agree with Samm, the schnibbles patterns are so cute. There are a several patterns over at All People Quilt.com site that are free. Check it out. Love some of their patterns. I would love to win the Christmas fabric, thanks for the chance.
What fun, Patty! Thanks for the chance to win! What about a log cabin, great way to use up many scraps of different shades.
Patty,LOVE YOUR BLOG!
I suppose my most favorite quilt pattern is 'Flying Geese'. I have made them in differing sizes, but the neatest ones I called 'Flying
Swallows',just 1"x1" square>so so cute! Thanks for sharing,love,Linda

Well, for easy-peasy there is the disappearing 9 patch, or for a little more flair there is the wonky star. I have been wanting to do a dresden plate for a while now, or a wedding ring if you're up for a challenge. What are you wanting to do? It's all fun! Thank you for the giveaway!!
:-}pokey
I saw a 9-patch pattern on Moda Bake Shop that may work for either scraps or red/aqua fabrics. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2010/09/twin-nine-patches.html#more
Pat Sloan describes the use of values in that quilt on one of her recent posts. Thank you for this giveaway. mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com
I'm currently hooked on the Apple Core shape - works perfectly if you like something that is not all sharp angles, as it has lovely curves that give the quilt movement.
I just bought Miss Rosie's Short Line and I think that would be a great pattern to use.
Have a look at the free pattern on my blog called "Chocolate for Christmas". Having done it in Chocolate and teal/aqua shades, I am probably going to make one in red and green for Christmas.
My favorite pattern is the log cabin. I am currently doing one in Moda Origins line.
I like the "wonky log cabin" and spiderweb patterns that are circulating now as well as Ohio Star and one called Arkansas Snowflake (http://www.flickr.com/photos/72182007@N00/2386046856).
I'm a newbie quilter, but so far I'm drawn to disappearing 9 patches. I suppose because one process gives you so many layout possiblities :)
Thank you for this generous giveaway! I'm in love with these snowmen faces!

Oh I wish I would have seen this in time. I think I will have to go buy this. Hope I can find it in a layer cake. I love snowmen.
