Let's celebrate the end of January with a giveaway. We are getting so much closer to Spring and haven't had much snow! Even if we get snow now it won't last more than a month or two!! Yah, I love spring. The giveaway is a charm pack of A Morris Garden by Barbara Brackman. Just leave me a comment and make sure I have your email address. What happened to 10 in 10

OK so doesn't he look like he's a little upset? Well that's how I felt the other day when I went into my sewing room and started organizing things. There are way too many projects that need to be finished. I could probably use from my stash and not need any more fabric for as long as I live. I won't even tell you how many UFOs I found. Then to make it even worse, I started reading old posts from my blog. There was the 10 in 10 post mocking me!! I think it was more like I got 2 of them finished in 2010. That's 2 whole years ago! So even tho I don't make New Years resolutions, this year I am going to make one and stick to it. I am going to finish UFOs!! Now I suppose I'll have to say 12 in 2012. I am going to do a giveaway of a cute charm pack in a few days. I haven't taken a picture of it yet so that's why I am waiting.
And I learned one very important thing....don't go back and read your blog cos then you realize how much you didn't get finished ; -)

Playing with Max

Today I am playing with grandson Max! We have played every game in the house, at least twice! It seems that the rules change each time we play. Now we are going to build with Legos! This is the little guy who goes for donuts with me. We went this morning but I forgot to take his picture with frosting and sprinkles on his face.

Jelly Bellys

Carson found the Jelly Belly machine and it trying his best to find out how to get the candy out. He knows there is a way, but isn't sure how to do it yet.

new fridge

Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of a black refrigerator? If I stood in front of it, it looked like a mirror. I could see myself! I tried to get a little closer but none of those pictures looked good. So this is my new refrigerator and you can see the door frame into the laundry room. It is just about a perfect size...much better than the white one we first had. My daughter talked me into getting black because we already had a black dishwasher (which is on the other side of the set of drawers that are shown). And the stove has a black top and oven door and the rest is white. So it really does look nice. I was afraid it might look like a big black hole!

Grandson is home from the hospital and doing better. He is still not feeling the best. You can see it in his eyes and the fact that he is letting us hold him, plus taking long naps. Otherwise he is on the go all the time.

Measure Twice ?

In my case I should have measured 3 times...height, width and DEPTH! But didn't think about the last one. We had the ice maker hooked up and pushed the fridge back and Whoops!! The front of it stuck out past the woodwork and door knob of the laundry room.

This is how it looked from the laundry room. It was a monster size fridge. DH, myself nor the salesman thought about the deepth of it. When we remodled the kitchen earlier this year our carpenter asked if we wanted the hole large enough for the new fridges. (ours was an old fridge and not as wide) I was glad he mentioned it because I would never have thought about it.

We are getting our new fridge as I write this so I'll have to show pics tomorrow. We had to special order it because the store didn't keep that size in store. The one we ordered is called counter depth.

I learned now to measure at least 3 times!!

Happy New Year

My wish for everyone is for a healthy and happy New Year. This is my grandson's photo from last year. This year hasn't started out very good. Grandson is in the hospital with pneumonia and RSV. I've been spending part of the day with him so his mom & dad can go home and get some sleep. Poor little baby is so tired but can't sleep cos he keeps coughing and wakes up crying. Hopefully he will be back home tomorrow or the following day.
